Prep / Production Cook -- ARTISAN CHEESE COMPANY, in the Rosemary District

Compensation: commensurate with skill and experience

Daytime hours. Saturdays. We need a cook right away to help us in our kitchen. We have a busy lunch business. We make everything from scratch. And we are adding production items (jams, pickles, pies, soups, and prepared meals to go). We are NOT looking for an experienced chef, or an executive chef as this position will report to a chef and our manager.

We push out an awesome little lunch menu that changes weekly. Our menu has a cheese focus and is made in-house. We source many of our ingredients from neighborhood farms, and if we need a stock, we make it. We host occasional pop up dinners, and you would be involved in that. We are also creating an apprentice kitchen, so this position will be part of our growth strategy.

Are you the right fit? Someone who is organized, nimble, has an ability to shift gears, be clean and be self motivated. You should some have experience cooking and not scoff at the idea of doing your own dishes and helping out in other areas of the shop. You need cooking experience in a restaurant/retail space. We are a team. A can do attitude is a must. We offer a safe and respectful environment.
