LEAD COOK -- ARTISAN CHEESE COMPANY, 1310 MAIN STREET, DOWNTOWN SARASOTA
compensation: $10 training per hour, then $ commensurate with skill and experience
Must work on Saturdays and be available for 3 days throughout the rest of the week.
A bit about us:
You have to love cheese, we are a cheese shop! First and foremost that is who we are. We push out an awesome little lunch menu that changes weekly. Our menu has a cheese focus and is made in-house. We source many of our ingredients from neighborhood farms, and if we need a stock, we make it. We host occasional pop up dinners, and you would be involved in that. The menu is market driven and conceived by our chef who is a C.I.A graduate.
Are you the right fit? We are looking for a lead cook for our kitchen. Someone who is organized, nimble, has an ability to shift gears, be clean and be self motivated. You should some have experience cooking and not scoff at the idea of doing your own dishes. We are NOT looking for an experienced chef, but you do need cooking experience in a restaurant. We are a team. A can do attitude is a must.
